Launching A Social Network for Hawthorne Reserve

Over the course of the last year I have not felt this blog is a suitable place to really cultivate community online since it’s so dependent on me.  As a result, I’m announcing the launch of a social network designed for Hawthorne Reserve on Ning.com where anyone can contribute events, discussions, photos, and briefly list who they are and what they’re up to.  Just sign up for a Ning account and sign into the social network and you’re in!

I’ll continue to use this blog as my voice to link with the social network and hope to link the two, but will be moving to develop the network more in the future.  All information will be moved over to Ning.  I hope this will encourage our community to come together over the course of the next year!

Newsletter – December 2008

Fellow residents,

As you know, times have been a bit slow in the housing market and correspondingly at Hawthorne Reserve recently, but I still marvel daily at how beautiful the community is.  We had another HOA meeting recently, so if you missed out, here’s the update that was sent to homeowners.

I’ve been in touch with Jennifer at Trippe and she was supportive of developing the site.  I will be gradually ramping up efforts to ensure that everyone stays in the loop and to start bringing together the community.  If you would like to organize a community get together or get information out to residents, please feel free to contact me.

I’m also more than open to suggestions for the site, just let me know if you’d like something added in.

Newsletter – February 2008

Welcome!

I’m Robert Love, your friendly neighborhood resident in unit 320. Our newly renovated community seems to be suffering from a lack of communication. Therefore I have established this blog and will be starting to publish at least quarterly newsletters. Hopefully soon everyone will know what is going on and where they need to go to find information!

See the “Contact” page for more information. I think most of the information is up to date, but I’ll be working to update it in the near future. I’d recommend trying to contact the clubhouse first and then Eric Hanna if that doesn’t work.

In addition to the contact information, initially I set up pages for maps and information, rental/sublease postings, and reviews. Please leave your own review and comments to let me know what you would like to see in the future!
